The invention relates to fuel systems of internal combustion engines in which petrol or another engine fuel of multi-fraction composition is used as fuel. The object of the invention is a fuel system for internal combustion engines which contains a vaporising element (1), one part (1-a) of which is heated by the exhaust gases, and the other part (1-b) of which is accommodated in the inlet duct (7) and has a working surface (8) onto which a certain dose of fuel is sprayed by means of the injection nozzle (9). In this device the working surface (8) of the vaporising element (1) extends from its part (1-a) which is heated by the exhaust gases to the diametrically opposite section of the inlet duct (7) and the nozzle hole of the injection nozzle (9) is directed as close as possible to the tangent to the working surface (8) of the vaporising element (1). <IMAGE>
