PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity for the supply of thinning solution and periodical exchange of ink and air extraction by arranging a recovery pipe from a gutter, a supply pipe to a jet nozzle and an air extraction pipe so that they are all interconnected to an ink bottle. CONSTITUTION:Aqueous ink in a bottle 1 is interconnected to an air trap 3 through an ink supply pipe 15 and it is spouted from a nozzle 8 through a pump 5, a filter 6 and an electromagnetic valve 7. Ink not used for printing is recovered by a gutter 8 and returns to the bottle 1 through a pump 10 and a recovery tube 12, and air separated in the bottle is discharged into the atmosphere through an air extraction pipe 16. Since the density of ink rises as moisture is evaporated during circulation, the bottle is replaced by the warning of a liquid level switch 25. This arrangement eliminates the necessity for a density sensor, supply of thinning solution, periodical exchange of ink in the system and air extraction, therefore the maintenance of the ink supply device is facilitated. |
