PURPOSE:To communicate a response with priority with less communication overhead, by providing a postamble at the end of a command packet and receiving the response through the stopping of the postamble when the postamble collides against the response amble. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of communications S1-Sn are connected to a communication line L through a passive branching filter respectively to form a data communication system of multi-drop type. A station Si transmitting a command outputs a postamble after a command frame and enters the response reception and sets a prescribed timing in a timer. The presence/absence of the collision with a response amble on a line is detected until time-up, the same operation is repeated again at time-up and the postamble is kept outputted during this time. |
