PURPOSE:To improve the adhesive strength to films by coating a sintered hard alloy wherein B-1 type solid solns. are enriched on the surfaces, partly WC independent phases remain and bond metals exist in a small amt. with hard layers of carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides, of 4a, 5a, 6b group metals of periodic table Al2O3 and their solids solns. CONSTITUTION:A sintered hard alloy contg. WC and B-1 type solid solns. as a hard phase, and binding these with ferrous metals is coated with hard layers of 1-20microns thickness consisting of a single layer of one kind or multiple layers of >=2 kinds consisting of carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides, of 4a, 5a, 6b metals group metals of periodic table, Al2O3 or solid solns. of >=2 kinds among these metals. The content of the binding metals in the parts of about 1 micron depth from the surfaces of such coated sintered hard alloy in contact with its coating films is made to <=40% the content in the sufficient inside depth, the B-1 type solid solns. are contained at 40-80vol%, and the balance are occupied by WC carbides as an independent phase. |
