PURPOSE:To perform efficient heat exchange in that heat movement in a reverse direction is prevented from occurring, by a method wherein a heat pipe, to which a heat accumulating material, effecting a phase change between solid phase and liquid phase is adhered, is extended at its middle part through a partition wall located between a high and a low temperature chamber. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger is divided into two parts of the one being a high temperature chamber 12 and the other being a low temperature chamber 13 by means of a partition wall 11, and a medium to be cooled flows through the high temperature chamber and a cooling medium flows through the low temperature chamber. IN a heat pipe 19 serving as a heat transfer means, a heat accumulating material 20, performing phase change between a solid phase and a liquid phase, is contained in a given container 21 and adhered to the outer periphery of the middle part thereof, and the heat pipe is extended through the partition wall 11. The heat pipe 19 is a flow uniformizing diode heat pipe which is capable of performing transfer of heat only in a direction extending from the high temperature chamber 12 side to the low temperature chamber 13 side. This constitution, even if abnormality occurs to a heat source, causes the heat accumulating material 20 to function as a buffer, maintains heating and cooling for a specified time, and performs efficient heat transfer, prevented from transfer of heat in a reverse direction, in an state in that the end of the heat pipe 19 is exposed directly to the heat source. |
