A retaining bracket (2) consisting of spring steel plate for the detachable, secured-position connection of two components, has an essentially U-shaped basic shape and supporting surfaces or edges on the limbs (16) at a distance, in each case facing one another. The retaining bracket (2) is manufactured from an essentially U-shaped sheet-metal stamping. The web (15) and the limbs (16) of the retaining bracket (2) lie essentially in a plane. Rectangular side sections (18), from which lugs (19) project towards one another, are integrally formed on the outer edges of the limbs (16). The limbs (16) form the supporting surfaces which engage with the one component, and the lugs (19) form the supporting surfaces or edges which engage with the other component. <IMAGE>
