PURPOSE:To obtain the junction element which can well cope with reproducibility and stability, by fusing, bonding, and sealing the glass of an outer container and the glass of Dumet wires. CONSTITUTION:A plate electrode 13 is welded and fixed to the tip of the Jumet wire 14, and a glass ball 16, made of the same material as that of the glass of the outer container 11, is attached. A needle electrode 12 is bent in advance so as to impart elasticity, and welded and fixed to the tip of the Dumet wire 15. A glass ball 17' made of the same material as that of the glass of the outer container 11 is attached. The glass balls 16' and 17' are made to be of a circular cylinde type, and the Dumet wires 14 and 15 are inserted in the centers thereof. The needle electrode 12 and the plate electrode 13 are inserted from both ends of the outer container 11 so as to face each other. With the junction pressure being kept at a desired state, only the part, at which the glass balls 16' and 17' are contacted with the outer container 11, is heated. The glass balls and the outer container 11 are melted and bonded with this heating. When the outer container 11 is hermetically sealed, the glass balls 16' and 17' simultaneously become the glass 16 and 17 so as to form a unitary body with the outer container 11. Therefore, the element is mechanically stabilized, and the junction pressure is securely maintaned. |
