摘要 PURPOSE:To provide multi-stage adjustability for the damping force with a compact construction by allowing a piston rod to house two or more solenoids for a power driven opening/closing valve equipped with intermittent locking mechanism, and by adjusting the opening of the orifice using a combination among them. CONSTITUTION:Two solenoids 1, 2 for opening/closing valves are housed in a hollow piston rod 3, and the valves 1a, 2a are placed facing orifices 4, 5 excavated in the piston rod 3. These solenoids 1, 2 shall be of such a type in which an intermittent lock mechanism is incorporated, and the opening/closing mechanism is constituted by a reciprocative piece 24 moving vertically along a fixed piece 23 fixed to the inner wall of piston rod 22 in its axial direction, a rotary member 25 rotatable in sliding, and an adjustment valve element. When energization of the coil 20 has sunk the iron core 21 to depress the reciprocative piece 24, it is put in meshing with an appropriate cog train of the rotary member 25, and adjustment of the oil path 28(8) is now obtained through many stages by turning in the circumferential direction with a spring 27.
