<p>The device has an electric switch acted on by the dilated fluid in the bulb and capillary, which open or closes the switch, thus opening or closing the switch, thus opening or closing the switch controlling the energy supply to the heater. The thermostat has a resistance, incorporated to modify its performance, wound in a cylindrical shape over the capillary. The capillary is wound helically inside the resistance, in thermal contact with its inner surface. The resistance is supplied with direct current obtained by rectifying the AC supply to the main heater unit. The current supply circuit contains rectifiers such that the acceleration part of the resistance wire is supplied with single-alternate current only.</p> |
