PURPOSE:To prevent the chattering of a switch contact by employing a single wind excitation coil in a magnetic switch for opening/closing a power supply circuit of a starter motor while grounding the output side through an armature coil of the statrer motor. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic switch 2 is equipped with a single wind excitation coil 71 where the input end is connected through a starter switch 5 to D.C. power source 1 while the output end is connected through a contact terminal 41 to a commutator 4b. Upon closing of the starter switch 5, the current from D. C. power source is grounded through the commutator section, armature coil and a minus brush 4C in the starter motor 3, contactor 41 and the excitation coil 71 to activate the plunger 8 thus to contact a movable contact 2C with fixed contacts 2a, 2b. Consequently the power is supplied to the starter motor 3 and the current in the excitation coil 71 is reduced to the holding current of the plunger 8. |
