<p>PURPOSE:Water containing Ca ion and Na ion is combined with potassium chloride and, as direct current has been applied to the solution, the solution is frozen to give alkali ion ice with good taste, because it contains specific amounts of Ca, Na and K ions, keeps its pH unchanged even after storage for a long time. CONSTITUTION:Water containing 30-80ppm Ca ion and 10-30ppm Na ion is combined with 20-50ppm of KCl to prepare an alkali ion water. Then, a direct current of 10-100A hour per 1ton of the solution is applied to the solution to give an alkali ion water solution of 8.0-10.5pH. Then, the resultant solution is frozen to give the objective alkali ion ice. In the ice, the alkali components are kept almost permanently to cause no change in pH during the storage for a long time and the ice tastes good and kepps clarity without cracking. When the starting solution is lack in Ca ion, CaCl2 and/or a product by treating animal bones with an acid is added, when Na ion is lack, sodium chloride is added.</p> |
