[Also in Division G2] Apparatus for the compensation of the energy variation of infra red radiation in an infra red compensation analyzer in which the energy decrease caused by the absorption of radiation by the tested component in the analyzing cell is compensated on the side of the analyzing cell by a rise and on the comparison cell by a drop in energy, comprises a radiator 1 which has arranged in its longitudinal axis an electrically heated spiral 2 mounted in a heat resistant tube 3 and at right angles thereto, a movable mirror 9 which is coupled to the radiation detector. As shown the mirror 9 is of annular form and if the beams 5, 5<SP>1</SP> reflected from walls 4, 4<SP>1</SP> and interrupted by rotary diaphragm 8 are of different intensity, after passage through the analyzing cell 6 and comparison cell 7 a twin capacitor microphone or other detector supplies a signal through an amplifier to a motor controlling the mirror 9 to restore balance, the position of motor 9 indicating the absorption in cell 6.</p> |
