PURPOSE:To raise the temp. of molten iron discharged from a blast furnace and to enhance the refining efficiency by blowing water-added auxiliary fuel, water or steam from a tuyere of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:Water-added auxiliary fuel such as heavy oil, fine coal or coke breeze, water or steam is blown from a tuyere of a blast furnace for iton manufacture. Water reacts with coke or the like, forming CO and H2 is converted into H2S by reducing sulfide in molten iron. Accordingly, the reducing power is increased and desulfurizaion is carried out. The temp. of molten iron discharged from the furnace is raised and the amount of discharged molten iron is increased. |
