<p>PURPOSE:To make the atomization of a paint certain, by certainly converting the flow of the paint flowing to an almost axial obliquely forward direction along the inner peripheral surface of a rotor to plural divided flows toward an outward radius direction at the non-knife edge shaped discharge end flange of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A rotary atomizing cup is constituted from a rotor 8 equipped with an inner peripheral surface 19 for guiding a liquid paint toward the leading end thereof in a thin film form and a circumferential leading end 20 for emitting the paint in an atomized state. To the circumferential leading end 20, regular recessed and protruded shape notches 23 radially extending so as to leave small gaps therebetween are provided and the valleys 24 of said notches 23 are positioned within a surface (a) at right angles to the shaft of the rotor 8. In addition, the inner peripheral surface 25 of the rotor 8 forms a surface smoother than that of the valley 24 of the notch at the inner side thereof and the inner peripheral surface of the outside from the valley 24 is bent toward a diameter center direction to the surface 25. As the result, even if a high viscosity liquid paint is atomized at a high emitting speed per a unit time, the atomization of a paint is enabled in a fine particle size without entrapping air bubbles.</p> |
