In the case of a displacer machine of the spiral compressor type the desired continuous output is successfully achieved by means of special seals which are arranged on the plane side and bottom faces. By admitting a working pressure from behind a reliable seal can be obtained and owing to the displaceability of the seal cross section a readjustment in the event of wear can be obtained.
