PURPOSE:To attain high rigidity and a light weight for a speaker diaphragm and to improve the sound pressure frequency characteristics, by using a ceramic material to the speaker diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material of 0.3mm. thickness which is made of a mixture of 85% ceramic component and 15% cellulose pulp is cut into 10mm.X15mm. size. Such sheet material is heated up to 1,250 deg.C in an electric oven. Thus the cellulose is burnt out and the ceramic is burnt to obtain a diaphragm. Such diaphragm has double or more specific elastic modulus and about half mechanical loss compared with the craft pulp. The speaker using this diaphragm improves in the high band characteristics. It is proper to have 80-90% ceramic component contained in the base material with the burning at >=1,200 deg.C. |
