The invention concerns a method for closing, pressurising and opening filter presses for membrane filters with a fixed upper yoke 6 and a lower yoke 7 which can move on vertical press columns 2, and its purpose is to improve the attending and the construction of such membrane filter presses. This is accomplished according to the invention by a method wherein a loose lifting tool 10 is placed beneath the moveable yoke 6 and set in operation, whereby the yoke and the press plates located in between are pressed against each other, after which the moveable yoke 6 is locked in its position, or upon opening of the press it is released, after which the lift tool is shut down and removed. An arrangement for carrying out the method is characterised in that there is an intermediate space 14 between the moveable yoke 6 and a counter support 4, in which a lifting tool 10 can be placed and set in operation or shut down. Furthermore, an adjustable stop arrangement 15 with shoulders 16 is mounted on the columns between the yokes 6, 7 and can be placed under any desired pressing plate 17 and support it when the moveable yoke 6 is lowered. <IMAGE> |
