<p>PURPOSE:To allow an operator to select a mode easily and to improve the efficient of input operation by providing various modes such as a sequential conversion mode for phrase-by-phrase or word-by-word conversion of an input mode and a correction mode. CONSTITUTION:To the main frame 1 of a document editing device, a floppy disk device 2 as an external storage device and a printer 3 are connected, and a one-page document format display device 4 is provided. Further, a sequential conversion mode 13A for sequential conversion of an input mode, a HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) input mode 13B, and a correction mode 13C are provided. At an input key part 6, a conversion key 10, HIRAGANA character keys 11 arranged in the order of the KATAKANA syllabary, a KANA (Japanese syllabary) conversion key 12 for KATAKANA-to-HIRAGANA (square form of KANA) conversion or backward conversion, a nonconversion key 14, cursor keys 15, etc., are provided. Then, the selection of a mode by an operator and character conversion by operation at the character key part 16 are facilitated to edit a document according to input conditions.</p> |
