PURPOSE:To operate the DC motor with an excellent power-factor by changing the rate of acceleration and deceleration of the motor with the variation of the value of the secondary side voltage of a power supply transformer for a thyristor Leonard device. CONSTITUTION:The output of the transformer 1 for a rectifier is supplied to the DC motor 5 through the thyristor Leonard 4. The controller 3 changes the rate of acceleration and deceleration of the DC motor 5 in response to the secondary side voltage value of the transformer 1 detected by means of a transformer secondary voltage detector 2, and controls the thyristor lenonard 4. Accordingly, the power-factor is improved because the value of the phase control angle of the thyristor Lenonard may be small. The capacity of the transformer can be reduced. |
