For the purpose of measuring and transferring liquids in the range of 2-1000 mu l, e.g. in an analytical laboratory or in a clinical-chemical laboratory, a microlitre pipette is provided which, for the purpose of receiving a continuously adjustable liquid volume by means of a measuring stroke, is provided with a spring-loaded plunger (6) having an actuating button (1), with a digital volume display (8), and a tip-release device (19, 20). The release mechanism consists of an actuating element (21) which is designed in a cylindrical segment-like manner, is arranged to be axially displaceable, and is designed to be transparent, in such a way that it remains possible to read off the digital volume display (8), the counter wheels (8, 8', 8'') of the digital volume display being adjustable by means of the actuation button (1) and the hexagonal part (3) of the piston rod (30). <IMAGE>
