PURPOSE:To provide a tool holder fully endurable for bending rigidity and torsional rigidity while remove vibration and perform high accurate machining, by constituting the tool holder with an arbor in which a ceramic sintered body and metallic pipe are combined as an integral unit. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic bar 2, a solid cylindrical sintered mother material, formed by sintering aluminum powder, is shrinkage or press fitted to a hollow cylindrical stainless steel 3 to combine an arbor 10 of a boring holder 1 as an integral unit. A cartridge fixing unit 6, fixed with a tool 4 by a bolt 5, is equipped to one end of the arbor 10, while a mounting part 7 to a machine tool is arranged and fitted to the other end. In this way, rigidity of the holder 1 can be increased. |
