PURPOSE:To prevent the increment of the transmission loss of an optical fiber due to the increment of the pressure of a mixture, by inserting spongy and rubbery materials, which change the volume by pressure, into the mixture to absorb the increment of the pressure of the mixture in respect to a cable containing an optical fiber core where the waterproof mixture is packed. CONSTITUTION:A pressure absorbing member 23 is wound as upper winding materials into a tape to wrap an optical fiber 21 and a mixture 22 or is arranged cylindrically to wrap them, thus inserting a pressure absorbing member 3 into the cable. Normally, the pressure absorbing member consists of a flexible plastic, polyurethane, or the like which has a force to put back the fluid mixture after the deformation or the like to the pressure is removed. Thus, the increment of the pressure of the mixture is absorbed to prevent the increment or the like of the transmission loss of the optical fiber. |
