PURPOSE:To simplify inertial starting and reduce fuel consumption by providing an electronic control circuit and maintaining the rate of rotation of a freewheel by means of an electrically-driven motor and also enabling automatical letting in and out of a clutch of the freewheel according to conditions of operation. CONSTITUTION:When the rate of rotation 29 for a freewheel lowers below a predetermined value during stoppage of a vehicle, a switching circuit 32 is put into operation upon receiving a signal from a comparison circuit 30 and an electrically-driven motor 25 is driven. When the rate of rotation of said wheel rises above an established value, the motor 25 is stopped according to a signal from a comparison circuit 40. As for clutches 21, 23 which connect the freewheel to the motor 25, stopping or acceleration signal and the like detecting conditions of operation are inputted to terminals 33-35. Thus, when the signals are all high level, AND circuit 36 sends out a high level signals and transmits them to AND circuit 37. Output signals of the comparison circuit 30 and F/F circuit 41 are inputted to the circuit 37, and when signals of the circuit 37 are a coil 23 is set conductive by a clutch circuit 39 through a switch 38. |
