PURPOSE:To eliminate the noise of a screen in a picture searching mode, by combining an auxiliary head with each rotary video head and using the output of an adjacent auxiliary head through an automatic switch in case the output level of an auxiliary head drops. CONSTITUTION:Main video heads A and B are attached at the outer circumference of a disk 11 with a 180 deg.C space secured between them, and at the same time auxiliary video heads B' and A' are attached to the disk 11 in the same way as the heads A and B. The heads A and A' have the same azimuth; and the heads B and B' have the same azimuth and different azimuths from the heads A and A'. Each group of these heads is selected for each field to the reproduced outputs of those heads. At the same time, the output of the main or auxiliary video head having a larger output level is selected and delivered when the output of a field is selected. |
