PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having improved tensile strength, 300% tensile modulus, hardness and resistance to oil, weather and thermal aging, consisting of a specified modified block copolymer, a reinforcing resin, a filler and a softening agent. CONSTITUTION:5-200pts.wt. filler such as carbon black and 0-200pts.wt. softening agent such as naphthenic process oil are blended with 100pts.wt. mixture of 95-0wt% reinforcing resin such as PS and 5-100wt% modified block copolymer to which is bonded a molecular unit contg. a carboxyl (derivative) group, said copolymer being obtd. from an addition reaction between an unsaturated carboxylic acid (derivative) and a block copolymer having a number- average MW of 20,000-500,000 and a ratio of weight-average MW to number- average MW of 1.05-10 and composed of at least one arom. vinyl compd. polymer block A and at least one olefin compd. polymer block B which is hydrogenated to such an extent that the degree of unsaturation does not exceed 20%. |
