PURPOSE:To carry out spot-welding, surely, by coating a corrosion preventing wax agent over a section to be spot-welded in order to mask thereover, and by dissolving and removing the agent with a solvent after the steps of electrodeposition painting, washing and drying are carried out so that spot-welding is finally made to the part. CONSTITUTION:A corrosion preventing agent of wax group is coated over a section 10a to be spot-welded on a plate metal part 10 prior to electrodeposition painting and is solidified by natural drying for forming a masking layer 14. Then, electrodeposition painting is made to the section 10a which is then washed and dried, and the part 10 is stored in this condition. Before welding of the metal plate part 10 delivered to an assemblying plant for assemblying it, the masking layer 14 is dissolved by an organic solvent and is wiped out for removing thereof so that the metal surface of the section 10a to be spot-welded is exposed and therefore, is spot-welded. Thus, masking is simply and surely made so that corrosion preventive measure is ensured and the removal of the masking is easy, thereby spot-welding is surely performed. |
