PURPOSE:To easily and exactly form a water-tight joint in concrete structures by a method in which a plastic flexible sealing member 1 is provided along with a vulcanized rubber string having more than a specific hardness in the joint of upper and lower concrete structures and deformed by compression by means of the weight of the concrete structures. CONSTITUTION:A plastic flexible sealing member 3 is laid on a water pressure applying direction X in the joint space 1' between the concrete structures 1, 1, such as PC plates, box culverts, manholes, or U-shaped trenches, etc., and then a vulcanized rubber string body 2 of a hardness of at least 50 or more is laid close to said plastic flexible sealing member 3. Thus, the rubber string body and the sealing member 3 are compressed by the weight of the upper structure 1 to form the joint withstanding strength against high water pressures for a long period of time between the structures 1. |
