<p>PURPOSE:To improve the propagation of the titled cell, by adding peptone obtained by enzymolysis of animal meat to a culture medium in the titled cultivation, using the above-mentioned additive, inexpensive, easily preservable and treatable, stably obtainable with always constant quality. CONSTITUTION:0.5-5mg/m peptone obtained by enzymolysis of animal meat is added to a culture medium (e.g., a culture medium containing epidermal growth factor and transferrin, etc.), and a normal diploid cell (e.g., normal diploid cell derived from the kidney of human fetus, normal diploid cell derived from the lung of human fetus, etc.) derived from an animal is cultivated. When compared with the existing method using serum, the peptone obtained from enzymolysis of animal meat is inexpensive, powder, preservable for a long time, simply treatable, and peptone always having a constant quality is stably obtainable. The cultivation period is shortened by the extreme improvement of the cell propagation, the productivity of hormone, enzyme, etc. is increased, so that the cultivation of the normal diploid cell contributes greatly to the industrial applications.</p> |
