PURPOSE:To machine simply and roughly tooth surfaces with finishing allowance being left, by cutting the parts of a work where tooth should be formed into a wedge shape by a pair of hack-saws. CONSTITUTION:One of the hack-saws 18 is started to cut into a gear material (A). During the cutting, at the completion of the cutting, during the withdrawing of the hack-saw 18a from the cut groove a', or at the time when the hack- saw 18a leaves the cut groove a', the other hack-saw 18a is started to cut. The part C triangular in cross section is cut off when the forward ends of the cut grooves a', a'' cross. This procedure is repeated, and the parts C in a prescribed shape of a triangle in cross section are cut off in a prescribed interval from the gear material so that the roughly cut gear material is formed. |
