PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording sheet having no possibility of reduction of density and discoloring in a coloring area due to fat and oils, by using a specific phenolic compound as a color developer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material utilizing a color forming reaction between a leuco dye and a color developer, as the color developer, a phenolic compound (formula II) shown by formula I (where R represents 1-12C alkylene) is used. The phenolic compound is used singly, or two or more sorts of the phenolic compounds are mixed for use. The color developing substance is generally used in the range of 1-10pts.wt. to 1pt.wt. of the leuco dye. |
