PURPOSE:To detect the trouble early, and to prevent the spread of the trouble by mounting a trouble detecting coil to one part of a rotaty type rectifying circuit and deciding currents flowing through the detecting coil. CONSTITUTION:The trouble detecting coil 11 is set up to one part of the rotary type rectifier circuit, and the flow of currents through the detecting coil 11 is detected electromagnetically by means of a generator field current sensor 1 mounted outside the generator. When the output of the generator field current sensor 1 decreases during the operation of the generator, an alarm is given while an opening command is transmitted to a field circuit contactor and a generator breaker 14 after a fixed time limit by generating trouble signals from a rectifier trouble discriminating circuit 3. Accordingly, the spread of the trouble can be prevented because the trouble of the rotary type rectifier can early be detected positively. |
