PURPOSE:To ensure close contact of a magnetic head without using a roller by making the reading face of the magnetic head rotatable to enable the reading face to follow distortion or inclination of a card and limiting the angle of rotation by two positioning members. CONSTITUTION:Two positioning members 29 are cut up vertically from a guide member 10. The positioning members 29 are in contact with a part near holding frames of elastic members 30, 31 in an attached state of a movable body 18, and determine offset position of the reading face 16a of a magnetic head 16. Being pivoted at the ends 24, 25, the elastic members 30, 31 are slightly energized in the direction of the arrow 34 near the magnetic head. Accordingly, the elastic members 30, 31 bring the reading face of th magnetic head into very close contact with the magnetic card 14. The positioning members 29 provide stop position of rotation of the movable body 18. They have flat parts 29b parallel to the reference face of the guide member 10 to smooth rotation. |
