PURPOSE:To manufacture a strong product easily by inserting glass bind into a groove formed at both ends of the commutator in circumferential shape, molding the groove and applying sufficient tension to the glass bind by the pressure of the molding. CONSTITUTION:The main body of the commutator is formed in such a manner that commutator pieces 2 with proper length and segment mica 3 are alternately stacked cylindrically only by number required. Split tops 9 are inserted onto the aggregate of the cylindrical commutator pieces 2 and the segment mica 3, and a ring 10 is fitted onto the tops. Grooves 4 are turned to both end sections of the cylindrical aggregate, and the glass bind 5 into which resin is impregnated is inserted under a semihard or completely cured state. A section between the aggregate and a sleeve 6 is filled with thermocutting resin 7. The split tops 9 and the ring 10 are removed after thermocuring, and manufacturing is completed. Accordingly, mechanical strength is improved remarkably, and yield is ameliorated. |
