PURPOSE:To enable operation under an extra-high pressure high-temperature state by mounting a thrust bearing at the rotor shaft side of a generator connected to the rotor shaft of a steam turbine through a joint. CONSTITUTION:The high-pressure rotor shaft IIa of the high-pressure turbine II is axially mounted rotatably to a pair of radial bearingsIset up to the foundation base of a steam turbine housing, and the joint III is fitted to the one end section. The rotor shaft VIIIa of the generator VIII is connected to the joint III, and the rotor shaft VIIIa is axially mounted rotatably by a pair of other radial bearingsI. The thrust bearing V is set up to the rotor shaft VIIIa of the generator VIII adjoining to the joint III, and the thrust bearing V is mounted at the rotor shaft VIIIa side of the generator VIII through the radial bearingsIand the joint III so as not to be affected by heat transmission due to a high temperature by the high-pressure rotor shaft IIa. Accordingly, thrust stress is treated at a position where heat transmission from the steam turbine side is reduced, and the generator resists extra-high pressure and a high temperature. |
