An electricity meter of known kind with mechanical registration and indication 4 of the energy consumption for a customer is supplemented with an arrangement 1 which is connected to the electrical mains 2 at the electricity meter 3 and to a pulse output 5 located in the electricity meter so as to electronically measure and record the same energy consumption of the customer.
