Indoor swimming pools or other closed rooms above temperature-controlled expanses of water are usually equipped with ventilation installations if condensation of water vapour from the room air on the inner surface is to be avoided. The same purpose can also be achieved by heat pumps for dehumidifying the room air. The invention relates to a condensation-free wet room as well as a method and means for operating such rooms, neither a ventilation installation for renewing the room air nor another mechanical preparation of the room air being necessary for avoiding condensation. This is achieved by the inner surface of the room being kept at a temperature which does not lie below the respective water temperature. In order to achieve and maintain this, various methods are suitable. The advantages achieved with the invention are in particular that a costly ventilation or heat pump installation is no longer necessary, that constant water evaporation no longer takes place and that the running energy costs are considerably reduced. The principle according to the invention can in principle also be used in existing indoor swimming pools.
