PURPOSE:To obtain simply and accurately a test paper which makes it possible to measure high concentration residual chlorine in reference to a standard color that has been made beforehand by making the test paper absorb a water soluble bromide, fluorothene and particular coloring matter and buffer agent. CONSTITUTION:A water solution of a water soluble bromide such as KBr, NaBr, etc., coloring matter such as fluorothene, direct green, etc. that does not change under the existence of residual chlorine of high concentration and a buffer agent of phosphoric acid group, boric acid group or citric acid group that keeps pH value in the range of 2-11 is soaked in a filter paper, etc. and the paper is dried to make a test paper. This test paper is used for testing by pasting it on a vinyl chloride or other plates. The test paper is used for deodorizing, bleaching and bactericide liquid or measurement of residual chlorine in factories where a chlorine containing agent or a chlorine gas is used and its color is compared with a color code table that is made beforehand to make it possible to measure residual chlorine simply and with high accuracy. |
