The invention relates to a transport ship for transporting possibly floating objects, e.g. such objects which on account of their dimensions and/or their weight can scarcely be lifted or cannot be lifted and therefore have to be loaded on board in a floating or rolling manner. To this end, the transport ship is provided with ballast spaces enabling the ship to be lowered and with stabilisers, which can be coupled to the ship structure, for stabilising the ship in the lowered state. If need be, the ballast spaces can partly consist of a loading space arranged below deck, into which loading space floating objects, for example, can be moved via a loading/unloading flap sealing off the loading space. |
