<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a variably magnified picture with a low cost even at a variable magnification factor with many duplications, by reducing the size of an ROM required for the execution of weighted addition. CONSTITUTION:Density data of a reference picture element (4 picture elements) to a noted picture element of a variably magnified picture at each point of time from a line buffer 1 are read out and inputted to a matrix register 2 of 2-bit X 2-bit. The value of each referenced picture element is inputted to weighted circuits 6-9 consisting of a ROM, and weight determined at a status circuit 4 is given according to the position of the noted picture element on an original picture and added at an addition circuit. The result of addition is compared with a threshold value at a comparison circuit and outputted as a binary signal, which is a density of the noted picture element.</p> |
