PURPOSE:To perform certain adhesion, by introducing an adhesive tape of continuous long size along a passing position of an edge part of a metal material, adding a gradually increasing feeding force to said adhesive tape and making it the same speed as a feeding speed of the metal material or a somewhat slower speed, then adhering it to the metal material. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive tape B is introduced in a guiding passage 18 shaped between the adhering roll 3a-3d of an adhering apparatus 3. Then, a rotational speed of the adhering roll 3d is gradually increased by an unreeling device 4 and a control device 19, the feeding speed of the adhesive tape B is gradually increased and maintained at the same speed as a feeding speed of a metal material A or a somewhat slower speed. After the both edge parts of the metal material A are heated by a high-frequency induction heating apparatus 5, a feeding apparatus 1 of the metal material A being operated, said edge parts are inserted in the guiding passage 18 of the adhering apparatus 3 and the adhesive tape B is simultaneously adhered to an upper face of the edge part.
