PURPOSE:To prevent jams of a paper feeder device only by mechanical means by permitting the feed roller in loose fit on the shaft to rotate intermittently through interlocked operation of the tensile force of the sheet, whose speed is increased gradually in the feed direction, with a cam ring in engagement with a one-way clutch and a roller. CONSTITUTION:A tensile force is given to a sheet of paper P1 by increasing the speed of the feed belt and then the speed of the take-away roller with respect to the feed roller (a) in sequence. Accordingly, the trailing edge of the sheet P1 rotates the feed roller (a) in loose fit on the shaft (i) more quickly than the shaft (i), and a pin 1 is detained at the left side of the notch 3 provided in a cam ring 2. When the sheet P1 is taken away from the roler (a), it will stop to be in coupling with the shaft (i) through the action of one-way clutch 4, and the cam ring 2 only is rotated in the direction of the arrow. Thereby the pin 1 is detained at the right side of the notch 3 to transmit the drive force of the shaft (i) to the roller (a), and the subsequent sheet P2 is sent out. The sheet is thus drawn out of the feed roller to assure prevention of jams mechanically. |
