PRODUCTION OF IMPACT-RESISTANT RESIN COMPOSITION EXCELLENT IN WEATHER RESISTANCE

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in weather resistance of transparency and impact resistance by homogeneously mixing a specific polymer latex of a multilayered structure with a rigid thermoplastic polymer latex and then coagulating the resultant mixture. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by homogeneously mixing (A) a polymer latex, having a multilayered structure and composed of a combination of (i) a soft polymer layer prepared by polymerizing a monomer mixture consisting essentially of a 1-8C alkyl acrylate with (ii) a rigid polymer layer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture consisting essentially of a 1-4C alkyl methacrylate and the outermost layer composed of a monomer mixture consisting essentially of (iii) a 1-4C alkyl methacrylate with (B) a rigid thermoplastic polymer latex prepared by carrying out emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture consisting essentially of a 1-4C alkyl methacrylate and then coagulating the resultant mixture.
