In the case of a anti-slip device for persons or objects to be secured using a flexible connecting means and an inclined or vertical securing frame, which device is composed of a clamping lock which grips round a securing cable or the like and has a clamping lock casing and clamping means arranged in the latter and also has a device for converting a tensile force occurring in the connecting means into a pressing force for the clamping means, the requirement for the operator to pay special attention is eliminated when suspending the clamping lock, despite the fact that the clamping lock is secured with one hand, and a reliable initiation of the clamping action is guaranteed in that a clamping element which is suspended in the clamping lock casing in a freely reciprocating manner is assigned to each of the two directions of movement of the clamping lock, and a connecting member which acts on the clamping elements and serves as a connection for the connecting means is provided, the connecting member converting a tensile force occurring in the connecting means into a pressing force for the clamping element situated below in the direction of movement. <IMAGE>
