PURPOSE:To facilitate the processing work of an engine block by a method wherein the titled oil filter block having an oil passage therein is interposed between the engine block and an oil filter in such a manner that the engine block and the oil filter are brought into communication with each other through the oil passage in the oil filter block. CONSTITUTION:The oil filter block 6 is interposed between the engine block 1 and the oil filter 9. The oil filter block 6 is in the shape of a circular box 7 and is provided with a fitting hole 10 drilled in the center of the bottom surface of the circular box so as to fit about an oil filter fitting pipe 10, a required number of oil feed holes 11 arranged in the bottom surface of the circular box 7 at positions outwardly of the fitting hole 10 and communicating with an outlet passage 3 for a lubricating oil from the engine block 1 and a ring-like packing 12. Further, a fitting port 13 for fixing a transmitting section 14 of a mechanical type oil temperature meter and a fitting port 15 for fixing an oil pressure meter's conduit 16 are provided in the side surface of the circular box 7 which are fixed between the engine block 1 and the oil filter 9 by means of a metal fitting 8. |
