PURPOSE:To shorten ghost eliminating time, by performing channel-by-channel ghost eliminating operation firstly, and transferring a tap weighting coefficient data group to a presetting memory when the remaining amount of ghost decreases below a cetain value. CONSTITUTION:An input composite video signal E containing a ghost signal is passed through a transversal filter 11 to remove the ghost signal, but in this case, an arithmetic circuit 17 is operated by a channel switching pulse G to transfer the data, which corresponds to a selected channel, from the 2nd tap weighting coefficient memory 18 to the 1st tap weighting coefficient memory, thereby performing channel-by-channel ghost eliminating operation. When the remaining amount of ghost decreases below a certain value, the current data group of the 1st tap weighting coefficient memory 16 is transferred to the 2nd tap weighting coefficient memory 18 to rewrite a preset value and when a propagation system is normal, the ghost eliminating operation is achieved instantaneously. |
