In the speed control of an intermediate superheating steam turbine (HD, ZU, ND) stabilisation of the transient behaviour is produced by feedback of a time-lag variable which tends to zero and is derived from a measuring pressure (ph) on the high pressure side, especially from the wheel case pressure of the high pressure section (HD), into the control circuit counteracting the control variable (Y). For this purpose, the measuring pressure (ph) is fed into a transducer (VDTT), the output of which is connected to a transfer element (VU) arranged in the control circuit. <IMAGE>
