The invention relates to a sheet- or web-form recording material by means of which copies having an improved print of increased resistance can be obtained. It provides a specific binder for a selection of known dye precursors and a simplified application method therefor. In a preferred embodiment, the invention relates to the combination of the dye precursor-containing unit, produced in this way, of the recording material with a part containing the dye acceptor selected according to the invention, with formation of a particularly advantageous pressure-sensitive recording material according to the invention.
