<p>The method involves sending a work signal by a user recognition unit via a packet switched telecommunications network, and comparing the signal with a set of identification signals, where each identification signal comprises a source signal. An user observed publicly distributed content e.g. audio-visual content, and return of information on the content to a user are identified on the basis of degree of similarity of the signal with one of the identification signals. The source signal is received by the recognition unit, and is processed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a recognition system for identifying a user observed publicly distributed content (2) a receiver unit for receiving a broadcasting signal.</p> |
