<p>A method for determining the activity of cholinesterase comprises the steps of:
<UnorderedLists id="ula01" listStyle="none"><ListItem>mixing a solution containing p-methoxybenzoate demethylmonooxygenase, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide reduced form (NADH) and p-methoxybenzoyl choline cation having the following formula:
