The earth-quake resistant multi-storey building is made up of superimposed prefabricated cells each of which is assembled from four wall panels, a flooring slab and a ceiling slab. Two superimposed cells are secured together by at least one metallic rod (14) which connects each corner of the ceiling slab (2) of the lower cell to the corresponding corners of the flooring slab (1) of the upper cell, in a direction perpendicular to the slabs. Each rod (4) is placed in a loose fitting hole (3) passing through both slabs which is filled with concrete.
